Kickstart Scheme Job Roles

We are looking to recruit new joiners for several roles here at Ucademy via the Kickstart scheme for 16-24 years old. We would love for you to join. 
 

These positions are under the Kickstart government Scheme (candidate must be on Universal Credit aged 16-24). To apply for this role, you must contact your Job Centre Plus Work Coach and ask them to refer you to us.

Vacancy 1: Junior Engineer

Ucademy is a fast growing Education Consultancy company designed to make the top academic expertise available to all. In light of our growth and what we still want to achieve in the future, we’re looking for an ambitious Junior Engineer to join us on our journey. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is hardworking, willing to learn, and looking for a career in tech (no previous experience required) .


 

  • You will be building exciting projects from scratch fast.

  • You’ll be taking a vision and translating that into a meaningful product (e.g. a web app), finding the right balance between speed and longevity based on business need.

  • Offering up ideas of where we can do things better (definitely on the tech side, but beyond tech too!).

  • Maintenance of our existing projects.

  • Being the interface between the business and any external agencies we instruct (e.g. designers).

  • You’re keen on working together for more than just the kickstarter 6 month placement. We are looking for someone who wants to play the long-game.

  • Flexibility You’ll mostly work from home at whatever hours suit you best.

  • Ownership: If you’ve got fun or interesting ideas that align with the business goals, you’ll have free reign to make them happen without having to wade through red tape and middle-management.

  • Impact: Your work will be seen by thousands of people around the world (with our courses and Youtube channel), and hopefully impact them in a positive way.

Vacancy 2: Sales Associate

Ucademy is a fast growing Education Consultancy company designed to make the top academic expertise available to all. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in a sales capacity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is hardworking, willing to learn, and looking for a career in Marketing and Sales.

 

  • You will work with the Marketing and Business teams at Ucademy to boost sales.

  • Develop methods to boost Ucademy sales and expand the business.

  • Be responsible for bringing in new clients.

  • Offering up ideas of where we can do things better. Maintenance of our existing projects.

  • Being the interface between the business and any external agencies we instruct.

  • To gain a clear understanding of customers, business and their requirements.

  • To get on the phones, streets and social media to start selling.

  • You’re keen on working together for more than just the kickstarter 6 month placement. We are looking for someone who wants to play the long-game.

  • Flexibility You’ll mostly work from home at whatever hours suit you best.

  • Ownership: If you’ve got fun or interesting ideas that align with the business goals, you’ll have free reign to make them happen without having to wade through red tape and middle-management.
