Our Story
From teaching few students to many students backed by cutting edge research and technology, Ucademy has grown exponentially over the years. Below you’ll find our story so far.
2011
The founder Usman gains a place at the prestigious Oxford University. Naturally this meant requests from the community to help them achieve success in their education.
2013
As the requests began to increase, a group of academics came together to realise an education model which can help many achieve success to a high standard. Ucademy begins officially teaching GCSE and Alevel tutorials. The company name Ucademy was born.
2018
The company develops its unique Artificial Intelligence and benchmarking tool, never before used in the tutoring industry to help identify areas of strength and weakness for students.
2019
Ucademy expands its offerings to multiple areas across Birmingham and outside.
2020
Ucademy begins to offer courses to international students for a wide array of subjects.
2024
With a team of over 50 across the world, Ucademy delivers upon its promise of grade A/A* guarantee year in year out.

Raeesa
Senior Consultant

Dani
Director of Operations
Dani hails from Rio in Brazil and has a broad range of expertise across the education sector as well as the creative side of things having worked with superstars like "Neymar jr" and leading multinationals such as Puma.
Dani is the perfect foil to the analytical direction of Usman.

Maliha
Science Consultant
Maliha provides Science based consultancy services for Ucademy. Maliha has been working and volunteering with children and young people since she was 16, and has a passion for guiding young people to reach their full potential. She is a graduate in neuroscience from UCL. She is currently reading a second undergraduate degree, in Medicine at University of Birmingham. As an intern for the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, she has conducted research to change patient care within the NHS and contributed to a publication in the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Neuroscience.
Nabil Vohra
Senior Consultant
Nabil studied Engineering alongside Usman at University of Oxford. Nabil is involved in widening education access to the community. He consults and tutors predominantly online and in the Greater London region.
Bilal
Advisor
Bilal is one of the founding members and a Senior Consultant at Ucademy. Bilal has over 5 years of experience tutoring a range of subjects.
Bilal is a full time Chemical Engineer and provides valuable input as an advisor to Ucademy senior staff.
Hanzala
Strategic Advisor
Hanzala is a former Ucademy student scoring straight A*s across his subjects. He then took a gap year, working at Ucademy where he quickly rose through the ranks to become a trusted member of the team.
Hanzala is reading Medicine and is one of the best first principle thinkers you are likely to ever encounter.
